“Jing” was chosen as the company name from ancient Taoist text simply because it means the source, the foundation, the primal “essence” of human beings. That is how we want our clients to regard our products; as the foundation and source of health and longevity.
With a master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture from the prestigious Yo San University and an extensive background in clinical and tonic herbalism, George Lamoureux is considered one of the world’s top authorities of Taoist tonic herbalism, health, longevity, and nutrition. George was indoctrinated into the Taoist healing arts by his teachers Daoshing and Maoshing Ni. The Ni brothers shared the wisdom and family tradition of an unbroken line of physicians dating back 38 generations! George has over 15 years of experience dedicated to the principles of protecting, nourishing, and balancing Essence, Energy, and Spirit for thousands of clients who have sought his expertise. Los Angeles Confidential magazine referred to him as “one of the best herbalists in the country.”
George started his career at the Tea Garden and Herbal Emporium in 1993 as an apprentice herbalist. During his long and successful tenure at the Tea Garden he held the positions of herbalist, Senior Herbalist, Store Manager, Vice President of Operations, and in 2004 was elected to the Board of Directors. When the Tea Garden was sold and re-branded to “Dr. Tea’s,” George was the Director of Herbal Programs until his departure from the company.
George Lamoureux is the Founder and CEO of Jing Herbs with his long time colleague, fellow Senior Herbalist, and business partner John Bonds. Jing Herbs commenced operations in 2008.
