It’s been quite a year so far, hasn’t it…
You might recall one of my messages from back in February – during our Chinese New Year celebrations.
It had to do with the 60 year Stem and Branch cycle known in Taoist astrology.
This year – it just so happens – is the first in the very same cycle.
2020 is designated as the year of the Yang Metal Rat; that means there is a heavy presence of water and an association with the Lungs.
Now, there’s an observation I would like to share with you about that..
An excess of water can lead to dampness in the Lungs, and if combined with heat, create an environment for pathogenic invasion.
Back in April – at the onset of all of this – we created two brand new formulations to help fortify Lung Qi and immunity, and fight back against invasions of the body.
The Lungs, as the epicenter of the body’s immune functions, are a part of the first line of defence from anything harmful.
To ensure that maximum energy is absorbed through breathing and digestion, our Lung Immune Supreme formula contains Astragalus.
Astragalus tonifies the Qi of both the Lungs and Spleen – the two organs associated with transformation of usable energy in the body.
Now for those who are concerned that their defences may have already succumbed to an attack – you’re looking for the second formula introduced in April: Fortified Platycodon & Fritillary.
Designed to help those suffering from signs of acute heat in the Lungs channel.
Fortified Platycodon & Fritillary acts to resolve phlegm, alleviate persistent cough, and soothe irritation.
Second, dampness is the enemy of the Spleen.
Recently, have you found yourself dwelling on thoughts?
Chewing, and chewing, and chewing on the same piece of information, but never able to swallow.
Your Spleen doesn’t only function in digesting food; it also governs the digestion of thoughts and ideas.
If you’re finding a piece of info tough to swallow, it may be the Spleen has become overloaded. With the Spleen and Stomach being closely associated with worry and anxiety…
No wonder everybody is under the weather.
Lastly, with so much fear and uncertainty over being in public and staying healthy, your body expends unseen energy.
It’s a serious drain on Jing energy in the Kidneys.
Jing is the body’s deep reserves of energy which provide nourishment in times of need – such as injury or illness.
However, one should always take special care to prevent the leakage of our most precious treasure.
The best way to do that is ensuring to nurture each of the Three Treasures, and as an extra precaution ensure the Lungs have ample energy for supporting immune function.
Shen is about more than personality, expression, and acceptance of yourself and others…
It’s also about feeling safe and secure.
That’s why we thought both of these fantastic formulas were worth another mention.,
Remember – this year you should take extra precautions to nourish the sources of passion and warmth around you.
Eat warm foods, drink warm drinks, and look for warmth and comfort by connecting with friends and family regularly.
Everybody is struggling with anxious thoughts, uncertainty, and fear of what’s to come…
We need to support each other, and at Jing, well…
In the fashion of a truly solid foundation – support is what we do best.
Be well,
Dr. George
